Bonus Game
The Bonus Game is an easy way to get a side game going that awards points for achievements per hole. Allows points to be earned throughout the round, unrelated to the match score, and keeps all players relevant.
Rules & Scoring
Playing Rules
- Bonus Game can be added to any match and is scored separately from the match game rules
- The concept of the Bonus Game is to accumulate 1 bonus point per scoring metric on every hole (where applicable)
- A Bonus Point can be awarded for any of the following scoring metrics:
- Closest to the pin on the green, on all par 3s
- Longest drive in the fairway, on all par 5s
- Poley - any made putt from on the green that is longer than the length of the flagstick, for a net par or better
- Sandy - any time a player gets “up and down” from a bunker for net par or better (the shot from the sand or immediately following the shot out of the sand must go in the hole for this to count)
- Up and Down - any “up and down” from off the green for net par or better (the shot from off the green or immediately following the shot from off the green must go in the hole for this to count)
- Barky - any time a player hits a tree on a hole and makes a net par or better (leaves count)
- Birdie or better, you choose net or gross scoring to apply
Feel free to create your own scoring metrics for a Bonus Point!
