Cheetah is a fun game for all skill levels that combines individual scoring and team scoring.
Rules & Scoring
Playing Rules
- Each player plays their own ball
- Played as a "dots" accumulation game
- With teams of 3 or 4, we recommend playing Modified Cheetah
Scoring
Each team records two scores per hole:
- Score 1 = Lowest individual net score
- Score 2 = Combined net scores from all team players
Up to two dots are awarded per hole:
- Team with the lowest individual score receives one dot
- Team with the lowest combined score receives one dot
Front 9: Team with the most dots, wins
Back 9: Team with the most dots, wins
Overall 18: Team with the most dots, wins
Match Setup
2v2 Match Composition
- Number of Teams: 2
- Players per Team: 2 from the same team
3v3 or 4v4 Match Composition
- Number of Teams: 2
- Players per Team: 3 or 4 from the same team
Modified Cheetah
In 3v3 or 4v4 matches, instead of using every golfer’s score for Score 2, only count the best two or three
Handicap Application
Played with standard handicap strokes
